A liquid illusion frozen in time. The SPIRIT series represents a radical intersection of organic genesis and futuristic alchemy, where the traditional clay body is deceptively transformed into a metallic state. Inspired by the very essence of life and the perfection of the elliptic form, each vessel undergoes subtle human intervention on the wheel, disrupting absolute symmetry to breathe a distinct soul into the mass.
Beneath the highly reflective mirror skin, achieved through a specialized vacuum titanium nitride (TiN) metallization process, the raw essence of the material deliberately breaks through. Small fragments and loose bits of clay are intentionally left on the surface. These elements serve as an authentic record of the making—evoking the fleeting moment just before completion, capturing the raw energy of the realization process itself. It is an exploration of deceptive materiality, where heavy, high-fired earth confesses its own birth beneath a fluid metal coat, reflecting the contemporary space as a futuristic talisman.
