KA

The ultimate turning point. KA stands as a radical artistic manifesto—a deliberate subversion of traditional glass glazing in pursuit of raw, architectural weight. Hand-thrown on the wheel, each monolith references the ancient, forgotten ceramic obsession of early Japanese master potters, recontextualized into a contemporary landscape of poetic brutalism.

Rejecting decorative noise, the surface is formed by an intense, meditative methodology of repeating cycles: high-pressure layering and spraying of saturated mineral pigments and liquid porcelain slips directly onto the stoneware core. The color ceases to be an external garment; it becomes a physical, three-dimensional crust, permanently fused and petrified through multiple firings. KA is a heavy, timeless study of mass, volume, and elegant distortion—capturing the volatile friction between order and structural collapse.
